Center Yourself on God’s Word
The Hebrew word הגה (hagah, pronounced ha-GAH) is most commonly translated as “meditate.” It conveys the idea of deeply reflecting on or uttering something and is often associated with repeating or reciting God’s Word under one’s breath. That is the heartbeat of our Christ-centered meditation tracks.
“I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.” (Psalm 77:12)
When we meditate, our mind and spirit become more open and free. What better time to set our heart and thoughts on the Word of God and let His truth fill our soul? Rather than centering yourself on yourself, our tracks help you to center yourself on the ancient, unchanging truth of God’s Word. Scripture is the antidote for anxiety, fear, and grief. It is the ultimate source of peace, hope, and joy. God is where our true identity, value, and worth come from.
Each Hagah track is designed to relax your body and open your heart, mind, and soul as you meditate on God’s Word. The featured verse will be both spoken and sung in a way that helps you to internalize God’s Truth and center yourself on His word.
Our Story
The idea for creating these Hagah mediation tracks was born directly out of a personal need. “I’ve experienced the benefits of meditation,” founder Debra Solberg explains. “I love it! But it bothered me that all the tracks I found talked about finding strength, peace, and healing within myself. How can I find those things within me when I’m the one who needs them? As a believer, I knew that real peace, strength, and healing come from God.”
One day, as Debra was praying and meditating, she sensed God speaking to her. “He just dropped the idea into my mind: We should produce our own Christian meditation tracks where we read and sing Bible verses to help God’s truth saturate the heart and the mind.” Debra is a worship leader and fitness instructor and has years of experience in trauma therapy and meditation. Her husband Robert is a classical composer, author, and professor of theology. This turned out to be the unique blend of skills needed to produce these tracks.
